Farish played summer baseball for the Columbia Angels, and will be competing at The Ballpark in Arlington this weekend. In the Mavericks' last season he struck out 51 hitters in 41 1/3 innings while hitting .368 with 9 doubles, 3 home runs, 16 RBI, 10 stolen bases, and 31 Runs Scored.
"Our coaching staff and entire program is very proud of Chris and his commitment to play baseball for Wake Forest University next year,” said Head Coach T Riley. “Chris is a very dedicated young man who has put in a lot of work the past six years to reach this goal. The Demon Deacons are getting a good one in Chris."
A top school in the ACC, Wake Forest finished tied for third place in the Atlantic Division last year. The Demon Deacons currently have 21 former players playing professional baseball.
"I am very excited about playing under Coach Walter at Wake, but right now my main focus is having a great senior season and winning the SPC championship with my guys," said Farish.
