Visual

The middle school visual arts program provides students with opportunities to explore a variety of artistic media, techniques, and styles while developing creative thinking skills. Students learn the fundamentals of art, including the elements of design—line, shape, color, texture, value, form, and space—and the principles of composition. Projects may include drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, and digital art and photography. Through hands-on activities, students experiment with materials, solve visual challenges, and express personal ideas. Art history is introduced to inspire and broaden perspectives.

We also hold annual art shows—check the arts calendar to make sure you don't miss the next exhibit.
