Mavericks Defeat Dragons and Go Undefeated in Conference Play

The Middle School Boys Tennis team traveled to The Woodlands to play John Cooper at Shadowbend Park in their final HJPC conference match of the season.  Ryan & Matt J. won a close first set and then prevailed in an impressive second set to win their #1 Doubles match.  Kieran & Henry won in a straightforward fashion in their #2 Doubles match.  None of the singles matches came easily, however.  Russell won his match in two close sets, as did Liam.  In the closest match of the afternoon, Hamzah split his first two sets, and then took the super tiebreaker for the third set to give the Mavericks a 5-0 team victory.  Congratulations to Richard and Nikhil in their exhibition play, as well as to all of the Dragons and Mavericks for their strong efforts.  Congratulations also to the Middle School Boys Tennis team for finishing their HJPC conference schedule undefeated!  Way to go Mavericks!!
