Raiders Host Mavericks

The Middle School Boys Tennis team was hosted by River Oaks Baptist School at the Memorial Park Tennis Center on a beautiful afternoon.  The match was the second HJPC conference match of the season for the Mavericks, and it consisted of three singles matches and two doubles matches.  Hamzah won his singles match, as did Richard, and Henry & Kieran won their doubles match.  So, the Mavericks had clinched the team match with a lead of 3-0.  Unfortunately, time ran out on the Mavericks and the Raiders before some matches could be completed.  Ryan & Matt won the first set of their doubles match, and Nikhil & Luke did not really get underway.  In the most exciting match of the afternoon, Russell won his first set in a remarkable tiebreaker, and the second set was stopped short due to time.  Thanks to our parents for their super support, and congratulations to the Raiders and Mavericks for their splending efforts and sportsmanship!
