Mavericks Win First Conference Matchup

The Middle School Boys Tennis team played their first conference match of the season at The Village School on a sunny, breezy afternoon.  The official team match consisted of three singles and two doubles matches.  Matt J. & Ryan got things going for the Mavericks with their doubles victory.  Russell pulled out his second set tiebreaker to put the Mavericks up 2-0.  Henry & Kieran clinched the team victory for the Mavericks by winning their close match in a third set tiebreaker.  Liam and Hamzah then each won their singles matches in two close sets to give the Mavs a 5-0 victory.  So, while the Mavs did not give up a match, they had to earn their team victory in five close matches.  Congratulations to the Mavericks and the Vikings for their excellent efforts!
