Mavericks shutout the Knights

The Mavericks played a beautiful game of field hockey against the Knights.  They controlled the tempo of the game by making good passes and supporting each other on defense.  The Mavericks were able to score in the first 3 minutes of the game when Christina crossed the ball and Kendall deflected the ball pass the defense into the goal.  The second goal was scored by Audrey when she received the ball and pushed the ball up and oof a defenders stick into the left hand corner of the cage.  First half score Mavericks 2 Knights 0

In the second half the Mavericks were able to score the third goal in the first 4 minutes when Kendall received the ball off the goalies pads and she shot it back into the cage.  It only tood the Mavericks 1 minute to score the fourth goal by an awesome push be Grace.  The fifth and sixth goals were assisted by Jessica and Elizabeth and scored by Chloe's deflection and April's shot. 

The defense is truly playing lights out controlling the ball and sending back up the field to the middies and forwards.  The defense is led by  Annie, Ginny, Celia, Cameron, Alyyah, and Samantha with Claire as our goalie.  The middies are distributing the gall well and is led by Jessica, Grace, Kendall, Sasha and Morgan.
