Mavericks keep rollling over their opponents.

The Mavericks keep rolling over their opponents and Memorial was no exception today.  The first 15 minutes of play for the Mavericks was absolutely gorgeous field hockey.  The passing, the switching of sides of the field and shots on goal were textbook.  The girls worked well together and the game just flowed smoothly.  After the first three goals were scored the Mavericks let up on intensity and let their guard down so Memorial was able to  penetrate the Mavericks circle.  On a break down of defense Memorial was able to score a goal into the left corner. 
After a half time talk, the Mavericks picked up the pace and worked together to keep Memorial to only one shot on goal in the second half.

The scorers for the Mavericks in the first half were Christina with 2 goals, Kendall with 1 goal, and Virginia with 1 goal.  Chloe assisted on three of the goals.  In the second half Audrey scored the goal with April assisting.

The JV1 will play the Varsity in practice today at 4:30.
