Mavericks score three to beat the Knights

Yesterday the Mavericks traveled to take on the Knights of Episcopal.  In the heat that keeps on coming, the girls started out the game a little slow and sluggish.  The Mavericks started working together and were able to score off a penalty corner.  Kendal inserted the ball to Virginia where she was able to push the ball into the cage past the goalie.  Before the end of the first half the Mavericks were able to dribble the ball down the right side of the field and pass the ball into the circle to Elizabeth.  Elizabeth was able to pass the ball to Chloe where she scored our second goal of the game.  So the half time score Mavericks 2 Knights 0.

In the second half the Marvericks played a more controlled game and dominated the ball.  In the firlst 10 minutes Virginia was able to score another goal with the assist coming from Jesica.  The rest of the game the Mavericks played with poise and confidence not allowing the Knights into our defense.  So the final score was Mavericksw 3 Knights 0.
