The Middle School Boys Tennis team closed out their competitive season at the HJPC tournament held at the Chancellors Family Center. In the singles, Hamzah faced a very tough draw losing to the eventual tournament winner in his first match. Liam won his first match and then lost in an extremely close match in the quarter-finals. Russell won his first three matches before losing in the finals. The doubles draw was dominated by the two SJS teams of Ryan & Matt J. and Kieran & Henry, who ended up facing each other in the finals of the tournament (with the 7th graders prevailing over the 6th graders).
While at the HJPC tournament, the Mavericks were presented with their team trophy for finishing in first place in the conference by going undefeated. In fact, the Mavericks did not lose any of their non-conference matches either, so congratulations to the Middle School Boys Tennis team for their wonderful achievements both individually and as a team!
