Lamar Outdone by Rebecca Reza and St. John's Maverick, 3-1

Rebecca Reza collected two hits, helping St. John's Mavericks Varsity to a 3-1 victory over Lamar on Friday at St. John's.
She singled in the fourth, found a way on base with a blooper to left and sewed up the win with a hit in the seventh.
Anna Brooks Pacha worked out of five tough spots for St. John's Mavericks Varsity. She pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run on five hits. Pacha faced her trickiest spot in the seventh inning.
Lamar scored its only run of the game on a walk in the third inning.
St. John's Mavericks Varsity tied the game in the fifth on a steal of home. Pacha reached base on a walk and Brooke Upchurch pushed AB over on a fielder's choice.  With 2 outs, and 2 ducks on the pond, Rebecca Reza lined one to left center to score Pacha and Upchurch to win the game, 3-1.
