Mavericks Score Six Goals to Beat Memorial.

Brenda Mercado
Mavericks started the game off right with a goal in the first 3 minutes from Virginia and the assist coming from April.  The second goal came at the 15:17 mark when Christina dribbled the ball down the sidelines into the circle and shot the ball to the far post into the corner past the goalie.  The Mavericks defense was very strong not allowing Memorial to cross the 50 yard line in the first half.

In the second half Memorial came out strong taking the ball down the field to our defensive circle.  After a shot on goal, the Mavericks were able to clear the ball out of the circle and go on attack.  It took the Mavericks 9:00 to score their third goal by April.  On the fourth goal, April was again poised and ready to get the ball off the goalie's pads and shoot it to the left corner.  With time running out the Mavericks were able to score two goals in the last 2 1/2 minutes of the game.  The first one was a goal by Audrey  with the assist coming from Elizabeth.  The final goal of the game was off a corner when Sasha had a beautiful push to the goal and Chloe tipped in on in past the goalie to make the final score Mavericks 6 Memorial 0.
