Patrick Hayes '07 Wins Terman Award, Selects Raulston for Recognition
Patrick Hayes '07 was selected as one of the recipients for this year's Frederick E. Terman Award for Scholastic Achievement in Engineering by Stanford University. The award is presented to students that place in the top 5% academically at the Stanford University School of Engineering.
Hayes was saluted at at a luncheon awards ceremony on April 9, 2011. As an additional part of this award, Hayes was asked to name the secondary school teacher who had the most influence on his scholastic career. Hayes named St. John's faculty member Dwight Raulston, who was also at the ceremony on Stanford's campus.

Raulston had Patrick as his advisee and also as a student in differential equations and multivariable calculus his senior year.
Dr. Terman, for whom the award was named, was a distinguished Dean of Stanford's School of Engineering, Provost of the University, and a Professor and Chairman of the Department of Electrical Engineering.
