SBS Eagles defeat Mavs
In facing a Division I signee for Second Baptist, the Mavs were defeated by the Eagles in the conclusion of the round robin.
Meaghan Barclay busted up the perfect game that the SBS pitcher had going in the bottom of the third inning with a walk being earned on a full count.
This lead to the Mavs believing in themselves that the Eagle pitcher was not untouchable, as the Mavs came up with four runs in the bottom of the 5th inning. Savannah Erwin picked up a hit as did Paige Killelea and Carson Black. Meaghan once again delivered the big blow to the Eagles on a double to left center that scored two runs for the Mavs.
Alas, it was not enough as the Eagles had already scored 5 runs earlier in the contest to protect the win.
