Slow start, but great finish.

The Mavericks traveled west on I-10 to play the Mustangs from Houston Christian.  They were able to score their first goal at the 22:38 mark of the first half when Virginia was able to take the rebound off the goalie pads and push the ball into the left corner of the cage.  With the temperature in the 90's, it took the Mavericks 15 minutes before they were able to score their second goal off a penalty corner by Audrey.  The final goal of the second half was scored by April when she took the ball off the goalie's pads and shot it into the corner.  Halftime score Mavericks 3 Houston Christian 0. 

The Mavericks were able to score 3 more goals in the second half of the game.  The first goal was a beautiful shot by Jessica from the top of the circle and the goal came when Chloe deflected it past the goalie.  The fifth goal was scored by Kendall.  The final goal was scored off a penalty corner by April from a pass from Virginia.  The final score Mavericks 6 Mustangs 0.  

Way to go Defense on another shut out.  Let's go get those Falcons today!!
