Alumni Board

Welcome to the SJS Alumni Board webpage!

The Alumni Board represents the nexus between the School and alumni in Houston and across the country. The board’s work is primarily focused on relationships, resources, and reunions, and its mission is to support and strengthen the bond between SJS and its alums, as well as relationships within the alumni community. 

Committees are a vital part of the board’s operations and work to implement specific goals that align with the board’s mission. The Networking Committee identifies and recruits sponsors for the annual Summer Internship Program for rising Maverick seniors and helps to increase engagement in the online alumni group on LinkedIn. The Community & Inclusion (“C&I”) Committee supports the School’s strategic plan for C&I by actively seeking ways to engage all members of the alumni community, respecting differences among us while celebrating our shared experiences as SJS alums. Congregating as a community is most directly supported by Reunion & Events, which helps communicate plans and promote attendance at all alumni events, and the St. John’s Fund Committee increases awareness of the annual giving programs and promotes alumni participation in supporting them.

“Loyalty and spirited devotion” to the school, its mission, and the alumni community is a guiding principle of the board and its members, and camaraderie and fellowship are fundamental to our work and gatherings as a community. We encourage all alumni to join us for alumni events and Reunion Weekend and hope that interested alumni contact alumni@sjs.org to learn about all the ways to become involved.
