Academic Support Coordinator

St. John’s School is seeking an Academic Support Coordinator, which is a full-time position, reporting directly to the Head of Upper School. The Academic Support Coordinator works closely with the Academic Dean, the Upper School Counselor, and the Department Chairs to provide support for students in their learning. The ideal candidate has worked in a school for at least 3 years and will be fully invested in the life of the St. John’s community and enthusiastic about working closely with students, their families, and faculty.

Primary responsibilities of the Academic Support Coordinator include:
  • Assist the Academic Dean with course selection, overseeing the Curriculum Guide and online course information, and presentations to students and parents
  • Have knowledge and understanding of diagnostic testing results and how to implement recommendations within an independent school setting
  • Receive and maintain records of psycho-educational testing reports and online records of students with Learning Profiles
  • Work closely with the Upper School Counselor as it relates to psycho-educational testing
  • Oversee and organize the logistics of exam testing in the Upper School (Semester exams, PSAT, and AP Exams)
  • Secure standardized testing accommodations for qualifying students
  • Possibly teach one academic course (this will be determined during the interview process)
