Varsity Girls' Soccer kicked off a new tradition on Saturday with the inaugural daddy-daughter Varsity Girls' Soccer contest. After the game ended in a 4-4 tie, the daughters prevailed in penalty kicks.
"The game builds a sense of community, not only between the kids and their parents, but between the families," said Head Coach Susan Quill '99. "There was a lot of comedy, plenty of smack talk, and much appreciation by the dads about their daughters' ability and fitness."
"The only thing that kept us from winning is that we were neither good nor athletic," said John Vogel (Leah Vogel '16). "Otherwise, we had them right where we wanted them."
