Prior to the St. Andrew's SPC game, Justise Winslow '14 was honored for his participation on the 2012 gold-medal USA Basketball Men's U17 World Championship team.
On July 11th the U.S. Basketball Team claimed the World Championship gold medal in Kaunas, Lithuania by defeating Australia 95-62, finishing the tournament a perfect 8-0. Justise Winslow '14 was named to the five-member All-U17 World Championship Team, and had 13 points, eleven rebounds, three assists, and four steals in the championship game. Winslow was joined on the All-U17 World Team by USA teammate and tournament MVP Jahlil Okafor, Argentina's Gabriel Deck, Australia's Dante Exum, and Croatia's Mario Hezonja.

After the presentation on Liu Court last Friday, Winslow continued his winning ways by grabbing 20 rebounds and finishing with 28 points against the Crusaders. 

The Mavericks (20-8; 2-1 SPC), host Kinkaid on Friday for a key SPC South match-up.  Tip off is 7:00 p.m. on Liu Court.  The members of the 1952-53 St. John's Boys' basketball championship team will be on hand to celebrate their 60th anniversary championship season.
