Boilermakers Cash in on Bashen

Blair Bashen ('07) and the Purdue Boilermakers Volleyball team won 14 games in a row, the same number as Blair's jersey, before ending the run to the 1 team in the nation (Fighting Illini) at Champaign, Illinois on Saturday night.

Just a week ago, #12 M.A. Boles ('09) and the Washington and Lee Generals Volleyball team were 13-0 before dropping their first game of the season.

#14, Blair Bashen ('07), and the #12th ranked Purdue Women's Volleyball team were on a winning streak of their own.  14 wins for #14.  Multiply that number by 10 and that is the team-high total of digs (140) for Blair.  Bashen is also second on the team in service aces per set (.32).  On Saturday when Purdue faced #1 Illinois, she pulled out 29 match high digs but it wasn't enough to celebrate in Champaign.  The Boilermakers lost 3-1 to the Fighting Illini.
