On Senior night, St. John's Boys' Lacrosse team honors former teammate, Grayson Cuenod.
St. John's took special care of the ball on senior night firing in 15 goals in honor of beloved teammate and former #15, Grayson Cuenod. With Caldwell Flores, Ryan Eisenman, Will Wallace, Parker Schiffer, John Baker, Blake Upchurch, and Jordan Schuler participating in their last regular season game on Caven Field, Grayson was right there with them.
As one of the top scorers on the class of 2011's 8th grade team, Grayson led that squad to the finals of the HJPC championship. Always with a smile, Grayson had a way to make others feel better by being around him, and his spirit was heartfelt on Friday night.
With Shiffer taking stats, fifteen for fifteen finally unfolded for St. John's. Flores scored first and last for the Mavericks. Wallace won 12 face offs. Schuler and Upchurch went 1 and 1. Eisenman got a take away and Baker picked up 2 gb's and a clear.
Underclassmen also factored in the win. Jonathan Newar ('13) went 3 and 2. Chris Gow ('12), Grayson Crady ('13) and Carl Bernicker ('14) had 2 goals, while Paul Loya ('13) and David Edwards ('13) scored 1 goal apiece. Douglas Berkman ('12) finished with 2 assists. Nate Whittle ('12) ended up with 9 saves on the night.
We miss your smile, your heart, and your love of the game, Grayson.
