Mavs Hold Off Wolves

The Mavericks came out strong and we quickly took control of the game.  However, we could never quite put the game out of reach.  In fact, the tide turned and the Wolves appeared to have the better of play and generated a number of high quality shots against us.  Fortunately, Janie played a terrific game in goal and made sure we never lost the lead.   Our offense was often very good but sometimes gave away the ball unnecessarily.  Defensively, we were consistently solid, especially in stopping their fast breaks.  Overall, the team was at our best when the pressure seemed to be highest.  In the last 5 minutes or so, when the Wolves pulled within one goal and they seemed to have the momentum, the Mavs kept their composure and finished well.
