Boys Have Strong Weekend at Rebel Relays

The boys performed well at the 37th Rebel Relays. Led by captains Rudy Reynolds and Nick Finnegan, the team finished 5th with 71 points. Reynolds ran 1:59.9 to place 2nd in the 800m, Finnegan ran 4:29.6 for 2nd in the 1600m, and both ran 1:58 splits in the 4x800 relay with Rohan Balsaver and Richard Fisher to finish 2nd in a time faster than the old meet record. Blaine Finley continued to improve his Pole Vault with a jump of 12'0 to place 2nd. Evan Howell jumped a personal best for a second meet in a row to place 2nd in the Triple Jump and he ran 42.9 to place second in the 300 Hurdles. Freshman Steven Dickerson placed 7th in the 300 Hurdles and 8th in the 110 High Hurdles. Mike Marek placed 3rd in the 3200m. The 4x100 team of Finley, Evan Howell, Ben Hulet, and Mark McClure finished 5th in the 4x100 Relay and the 4x400 team of Hulet, Balsaver, Howell and Reynolds ran 3:35.6 to place 2nd. Mark McClure also ran a PR in the 100m of 11.7 and Rob Hine PRed with a jump of 8'6 in the Pole Vault to place 7th.
