Mavs Lose Nailbiter

The Mavericks lost their bid to enter the City Championship in a hard fought game.  The team never gave up, scoring three goals in the final 5 minutes and two in the last 90 seconds to come within inches of tying the game.  With ten seconds left, Catherine Franklin got the Mavs within a goal.  On the draw, Caroline Dawson nabbed the ball and executed a perfect pass to Cary Hines, but the Clear Lake defense was able to overpower an effective shot.  Congratulations on a great season and on figting to the bitter end.
