Mavericks Finish Out Regular Schedule With Big Victory

After falling behind 0-3 early in the game, the Mavericks came out of their timeout and finished the first half with a 8-2 run.  GK Burkett put in another great game with several saves.  She was assisted with great defense from  Schierman, with help from Mellor-Crummey, Fosburg and Schafer.  MacNaugton's manmarking shut down HAXLAX's main threat, and the rest of the midfield and attack spread out 13 goals amongst 6 players.  Goals came from Franklin with 4 on the night.  Dawson scored 3, followed by Hines with 2, and Hawley, Pendergraft and Herbert each with 1.  Great passing by the Mavericks helped maintain possession and made for some pretty lax for the fans.  Next week, the team enters the city fianls and will play their first game at home on Monday. - SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS FROM GAMES in Gallery
