Mavericks Return to Winning Ways

The Mavericks played great defense, backed by several saves from GK Sarah Burkett, to dominate SFE last night.  The attack also performed strongly, scoring a season high 13 goals.  Franklin and Hines led scoring with 4 goals each followed by Paterson and Dawson with 2 each and Herbert with 1.  The defense, led by Fosburg, Schierman and Newar kept SFE at bay.  In the midfield, MacNaughton, Diaz, Pendergraft and Franklin dominated despite a hot and humid game.  Herbert, Hawley and Mellor-Crummey filled in at various positions, and Nasser controlled play on attack.  Next week, the team takes on HAXLAX to end regular season pay.
