Mavericks Win Close Match vs. Village School

The Mavs played the Village School, a brand new team of 6th through 8th graders competing in their first season. Ten St. John's Team members were able to hang tough against their taller opponents. Most impressive for the team is the effort to set the ball up and score off of the pass-set-spike stategy. Serving continues to improve, court movement is getting better, and the team is learning to play beside different teammates. Next week, the Mavs will travel to Village to get more match experience.
