Athletic Highlights

The Mavericks struck early with a goal from Olivia Herbert in the first 10 seconds of the game. Charlotte Iupe followed with two more goals, both assisted by Herbert (one from a short corner). Despite the different conditions of playing on AOS' small field, the Mavs adjusted and dominated in the midfield with excellent play from the likes of Paige Hawley, Catherine Franklin, Maura Lindsey and Hannah Baker among others. Goalie Lauren Wilson racked up several additional saves after her 8 against Kinkaid on Tuesday. She was helped with patient and diligent defense from Katharine Romfelt, Hayden Foutch, Lauren Mellor-Crummey and others. The Mavericks play 3 games next week against conference opponents Duchesne, ROB and St. Francis.
