Reverend David Goldberg, Director of Spiritual Life
David graduated from The University of Oxford and then completed graduate degrees in Islamic Law at the School of Oriental and African Studies of The University of London and in divinity at Virginia Theological Seminary.With a focus on early modern British history, David is currently completing research for a doctoral dissertation at Oxford.He was ordained in the Episcopal Diocese of Texas and served as the Curate at Iglesia San Pedro. Most recently, David served as Associate Rector at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.
Marta Napiorkowska, Director of K-12 Curriculum and Instruction
Marta studied science at Cornell and then completed her undergraduate degree in comparative literature at the University of California, Berkeley. Marta then went on to complete a Ph.D. in comparative literature at The University of Chicago. She began her teaching career at St. Mark’s School of Texas, where she taught Upper School English. Marta’s subsequent teaching stops include The Lawrenceville School (NJ); Convent of the Sacred Heart (CT); and, most recently, St. Luke’s School (CT), where she served as the English Department Chair. A proven pedagogical leader, Marta has designed courses at the intersections of science and literature, philosophy and art.
Anna Silberman, Assistant to the Head of School
Anna holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas. Her experience includes working as an early childhood teacher for HISD and as a lead interpreter coordinator in Austin. Most recently, Anna served as the Executive Assistant to the Head of School at a local independent school.

Ana Maria Rodriguez '20, Advancement Associate
Ana returns to St. John’s as an Advancement Associate. After graduating from St. John’s, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Learning & Development. Her experience includes interning at Houston Public Media, a local marketing agency, and most recently, at Dell Children’s Foundation. In addition, Ana served as a teaching fellow with Breakthrough Atlanta and Teach for America.
Valerie Schick, Annual Giving Manager
Valerie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Southern California. Most recently, Valerie served as a Donor Relations Specialist for the Hope and Healing Center & Institute. Valerie also has a personal connection to St. John’s, as she is married to alumnus Ryan Schick ’14, further strengthening her ties to the SJS community.

John Meuser, Director of Human Resources
John holds a Bachelor of Arts and a JD from Quinnipiac University. Before leaving the corporate sector, John was the HR Director at Pappas, Grubbs, Price, P.C.. Prior to Pappas, John served as U.S. Director, Human Resources of Norton Rose Fulbright. Most recently, John served as Director of Human Resources and Administrative Operations of Baker Botts.

Carl Norris, Director of Technology
A graduate of the Texas State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Computer Information Systems, Carl began his IT career as one of St. John’s first network engineers. He later held tech leadership roles at local businesses and spent two decades at Cisco Systems as a systems engineer and architect. Most recently, Carl served as Chief Information Officer at IndoorMedia & AutoMate Label Solutions.
Isabella McBride, Technology Support Specialist
Isabella earned her Associate’s degree in Information Technology and is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree, both from Hallmark University. Her experience includes roles in customer service, office management, and IT coordination within the service and education sectors.
Darryl holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Norfolk State University. He has experience overseeing operations, inventory control, and logistics management across the higher education, restaurant, and hospitality sectors.
