The Maverick defense withstood the test of Kinkaid's offense today, preventing any of their 15+ short corners from finding their way into the goal. Remi Clonts, Ella West, Savi Augustine, Ellie Monday,  Mia Baumann, and Grace Malone held down the defensive line with Ellie and Savi splitting goal time, each making a few critical saves and clearances. Our forwards and middfielders worked hard throughout the game to both hustle back to support our defenders and move the ball upfield. Within 30 seconds of the start of the second half, our offense capitalized on the fast play of the turf to move the ball quickly up the field and Sloan Davidson put the final tap on the ball, sneaking it past the Falcon goalie setting the Mavs ahead on the scoreboard. Way to go, Mavs!
