St. John’s School seeks a Technical Support Specialist to join our Technology Team. The ideal candidate will have the technical and people skills necessary to support the school staff and students in a multi-platform environment. Technology is a crucial component of our curriculum. We need a team player with an upbeat personality, strong technical skills, hardworking ethic, patience, and commitment to excellence to keep us moving forward. The Technical Support Specialist reports directly to the Director of Technology and is a 12-month position employee.
- Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT) Preferred
- Extensive knowledge of Windows 10, Chrome OS, Mac OS X and iOS
- Knowledge of the following:
- Microsoft Office
- Google Apps
- Apple Configurator
- Mobile Device Management (MDM)
- iPhone Configuration Utility
- Android support
- Basic knowledge of networking and TCP/IP
Additional Qualifications and Duties:
- Frontline support for hardware and software troubleshooting
- Maintain hardware and software inventory
- Create, manage, and update school computer images
- Provide support and troubleshoot various computing equipment such as projectors, cameras,
interactive boards, printers, peripherals and audio/visual equipment-
- Excellent people skills and the ability to communicate in a friendly and effective way
- Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills
- Ability to assess and prioritize requests for technical support
- Ability to use critical thinking and logic skills to isolate and resolve technical issues in a
timely manner
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. of equipment regularly and safely climb, crawl, bend, pull, reach, kneel, and stoop
- Must be available for on-call shifts after hours and on weekends
- Will be exposed to multiple environments indoors and outdoors, temperature controlled
offices and server rooms
