The 30th Annual St.John's Ramble proved to be an exciting one!  The varsity girls braved the 3 mile hilly course on Saturday Octobe 15.  Sophmore Kristen Santiago lead the way through the half-mile.  The pack closed in and Kristen held on to be the top Maverick finisher and 4th overall with a time of 19:48.  Carson Gibson finished close behind and earning a medal in a time of 20:52.  Rounding out the top 5 for the Mavs were Martha Daniel, Maddie Clayton and Freshman Eleanor Jackson.  Finishing the three mile race in the varsity division was first year runner Srini Kumar, freshman Zoe Margolis and Junior Catherine Sullivan. 

The JV race was also exciting.  FHaving a breakout race Freshman Jenny Melcher led the Mavericks and finished in medal contention with a time of 14:49.   Junior Helen Sharpless provided leadership to the young Maverick group and finished in the top 20 with a time of 15:32. Following behind were Mary Harvey, Maren Flood, Tiffany Yue and Martha Jamail.  The next meet for the Mavs will be the final tune up to SPC, South Zone in Austin, Texas on October 22nd.
