Justise Winslow played outstanding on both sides of the ball tonight
and led the Mavericks to a 42-37 win over Presbyterian. Winslow played sound defense on Presbyterian's stellar offensive player and caused numerous turnovers during our full court press. Offensively, Winslow drove to the basket hard, rebounded well, passed the ball well, and scored 24 points.
However, he was not the only player involved with the win. The entire Mavericks team contributed in their own way. Solid man defense and good effort on the boards were keys to victory. Jim Mace added 8 points including two big three pointers. Joshua Hanson scored 7 points, and Wes Wallace hit a big three pointer in the 4th quarter.
An exciting win for the Mavs. A few days of practice and then we head into the big Kinkaid Tournament this weekend.
