The Mavericks played a scrappy TH Rogers team to the last second but came out on the short end. In the consolation round of the First Baptist Tournament St. John's took on the TH Rogers Rams. St. John's fell behind in the first quarter 5-7 but picked it up some in the second to lead at the half 14-13. The Rams came back in the third to take back the lead 21-20. The fourth quarter was back and fourth and with 5 seconds on the clock the Rams were up by one with possession out of bounds. The Mavericks were able to steal the inbound pass and take it down for a contested layup which rolled out and of course no foul called! Mathew Ainbinder lead the scoring with 10 points followed by Andrew Vogeley 7, Jack Russ 5, Yusef Chabayta 3 and Michael Cregan 2.
