Girls Break the 4x800 Relay Record!

Catie Reynolds, Meredith Gamble, Nelly Kontchou, and Kelley Harrison broke the St. John's record in the 4x800 Relay on Friday night, winning the race in a time of 9:42.0 to shatter the record from the 2006 SPC Championships (9:49.74  Harrison, Kontchou, Hulme, Reynolds).  Emily Watkins was third in the 3200m with a season best of 12:22.8, Victoria Gilcrease was second in both the High Jump and Pole Vault, and Jasmine Larry placed 8th in the Discus Throw with a personal best of 70'9".

On the boys' side, Calos Falcon was third in the 3200m, Connor Cain mumped a Personal Best of 18'6" to finish 3rd in the Long ump, Patrick Lukens was 6th in the Shot Put, and Steven Dickerson ran personal bests in the preliminaries of both the 110 and 300m Hurdles.  The 4x800 team of Jorge Ortiz, Ryan Hodgson, Henry Chapman, and Carlos Falcon ran a season best of 8:37.2 to finish second.

Blaine Finley ventured to The Woodlands to jump in the UIL Regional Qualifiers Meet at The Woodlands High School with some of the best in the area and state.  Blaine finished 4th in the competition with another 15'0" vault.  Look for more summary and full meet results on the final day of the Nick Finnegan Spring Invitational!
