Five sessions of field hockey with three St. John's Teams with every healthy Maverick getting lots of touches on the ball.  What could be better, other than the weather?!  The 8th Class TEAM was able to learn tactical concepts on the smaller fields as well as practice individual skills in a game setting.  I want to give some shout outs -- to the TEAM for for getting to their field assignments on time and working cooperatively on their subbing; to the parents for all the support throughout the day, to Kinkaid for hosting the organized chaos; and finally to all the Maverick coaches who helped - Coach Center, Coach Chambers, Coach Kensinger, and Coach Warren.  Our hockey program is better because of your dedication and commitment.  Three games this week, come out and see the rising stars!
