SJS Varsity Basketball Player Lily Dunlap Named Naismith High School Basketball Courage Award Recipient

As announced on astudentabove.com, Lily Dunlap '26 is named a recipient of the Jersey Mike's Subs Naismith High School Basketball Courage Award: "Lily Dunlap, a junior on the St. John’s Varsity Girls’ Basketball Team, is a remarkable example of courage, strength, and resilience. Diagnosed with hearing loss at a young age, she navigated life with hearing aids while being a role model for her younger brother. Her determination grew even stronger when, in 2024, she was diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Despite enduring chemotherapy and losing her hair, Lily remained focused on her recovery and her love for basketball. She returned to the court after treatment, earning a standing ovation when she hit a three-pointer. Lily's unwavering spirit, dedication to her team, and inspiring journey make her an exceptional winner of the Jersey Mike’s Subs Naismith High School Basketball Courage Award."
