Opening Convocation

Welcome back, Mavericks! Students, faculty, and staff from all divisions gathered in Liu Court Friday morning for All School Convocation. The event marked the first official gathering for the 2019-2020 school year. Upper School students introduced the youngest Mavericks by escorting the Kindergarten students into the gym. Headmaster Desjardins then invited Head Prefect Mark Trautner ’20 to the podium. Mark was joined by members of the SJS Unity Council. He spoke to the crowd about the importance of inclusivity in our community and making other students feel welcome.
