Jackie Modesett Shines at 61st Texas Southern Relays

Jackie Modesett finished 2nd in the 100 Hurdles and 3rd in the 300 Hurdles at the 61st Texas Southern Relays.  On Friday she ran 44.36a (her automatic PR time) in the heated finals of the 300 Hurdles to finish 3rd place overall.  She ran 15.01a into a massive headwind on Friday morning to qualify 2nd in the 100 Hurdles, then ran 14.65a into a strong wind to place 2nd.  Jackie now ranks 18th in the nation in the 300 Hurdles and in the top 25 in the 100 Hurdles.  The winner of both TSU hurdle events, Taije Jordan of Lancaster (TX), is ranked #2 in the nation in the 300 Hurdles and #1 in Texas in the both the 100 Hurdles and 300 Hurdles!
