Wellness at St. John's School is designed to encourage students, faculty, and parents to thrive while maintaining balance. The ultimate goal of the Wellness program is to increase opportunities for all members of the SJS community to reach their full potential intellectually, emotionally, socially, physically, and spiritually. The wellness team consists of individuals from the Counseling department, Clinical Services team, and Sports Medicine team. Welcome to the Wellness page of the SJS website. We appreciate your interest in learning more about our endeavors to help your child develop their social, emotional, spiritual, physical, and intellectual skills. You are important partners with us in your son or daughter’s education while at our school.
The Wellness Resources page incorporates links to many resources and publications that may be of interest to you and the Wellness Community Events page is intended as a community service to inform you of events in our community as we become aware of them. Dr. Welch received her M.S. in Psychology and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Texas A&M University. She has over 20 years of experience in counseling and psychological services, with a specialty of working with youth and families. Dr. Welch joined SJS in 2012 and became the school's first Director of Wellness in 2013. Before joining SJS, she served as the Director of Psychological Services and Research at The Children's Assessment Center, did consultations in schools, and had a private practice.
