Senior Day highlighted with win
The Mavericks honored their seniors on Saturday for their play and dedication to the program with a win over rival Kinkaid. Finding themselves down all morning long, the Mavericks finally managed to push across three runs in the bottom of the sixth for a come from behind win.
Senior catcher Anna Cain provided the highlights as she laced a triple down the left field line to plate the tying run with two outs. Anna would score in the same playing sequence on a throwing error to score the winning run.
The seniors this year are Carson Black, Courtnay Buaas, Anna Cain, Emily Entrekin, Paige Killelea and MGR Brigid Hilton.
