Mavs win 6-5 in extra innings on a walk off double by Dylan May to score Rob Wallace in the bottom of the 9th. A fun night at the ballpark with all 11 seniors being recognized pre game. Included below is the pre game script from the evening.
We would like to take this time to recognize a group of 11 seniors- 2 managers and 9 players who have a combined 52 seasons devoted to the St. John’s Baseball program from Middle School through High School. Each Maverick will be missed greatly next year and beyond.
Camille Dawson
Has spent 2 seasons managing for the Mavericks. She is appreciated by the players and coaches in many ways. A true “utility manager” Camille shows her devotion to the team by preparing tasty treats, filming games, keeping pitch charts, playing music, traveling to away games and more. We are very glad that Camille has been a part of the program for the past two years. We wish her will next year and thank her parents Cole and Carla for allowing her to help out with our teams.
Marissa Murillo
Has spent 4 seasons managing for the Mavericks at both the JV and Varsity level. She is very knowledgeable about the game, very helpful, devoted to the team, prepares great desserts and treats, travels to the away games, and is always willing to help the team anyway she can- always with a smile on her face. We truly appreciate Marissa’s help and support for the past four years and thank her parents Laura and Luis for allowing her to help our program.
Harrison Black
Has played 3 seasons of baseball for the Mavericks. Harrison has helped the program as a pitcher and outfielder throughout his career. His teammates describe “HB” as a funny guy, one who is there for his teammates, and having a serious mindset. Harrison’s favorite memory of St. John’s Baseball was hitting a ground rule double during our spring break trip to Florida which broke up a perfect game against St. Cloud HS. We appreciate Harrison’s time in the baseball program and the support of his parents Chris and Julie.
Charles Britton

Jake’s favorite memory comes from this season when he scored a big run against Spring Woods HS. He was running fast and hard …. And actually ran right through Coach Riley’s stop sign! We are glad to have had Jake as a Maverick baseball player for the past 6 years. And, we appreciate the support of his parents, Gary and Cindy.

Harrison Ray
Has played 6 seasons of baseball for the Mavericks. Harrison has helped the program as a 1st Baseman and Pitcher. He is another player who has battled back from injuries and we are proud of him for that. His big frame has been a comfort for infielders to throw to throughout his career at 1st Base. His teammates describe him as the “chatter prince”, knowledgeable about the game, resilient, and one who helps keep his teammates in the game.
His favorite memory was during his junior year when Coach Baker passionately stood up and defended his players during a game against Second Baptist. We are glad to have Harrison on the diamond with us for the past 6 years. We also appreciate the support of his parents, Robert and Sarah.

Rob has played in 54 varsity games, scored 23 runs, and logged 23 hits. His teammates and coaches describe him as competitive, all around great guy, dependable, athletic, loves to show off his vertical, and “Vidal Sasoooon”. His favorite memory was this season’s come from behind win when he led off the top of the 7th inning rally with a base knock. This was a huge at bat for the team and helped propel us to victory. We are really going to miss Rob and his parents John aka the “Grill Master” and Allison.
Ryan Williamson
