The Mavericks scored 19 runs on 11 hits, four of which came from Will Joyce who hit for the cycle!  Best of all was his home-run which came with the bases loaded in the fifth inning of a close game.  The Mavericks battled proudly as Seniors Joyce, Patrick Hayes, and Danny Ball led the effort.  Hayes' return from a 3 week bug adds a potent bat and fierce leadership to the Maverick line-up.  Ball showed his competitive spirit with a "heads up" play while running at second base.  As the catcher's throw back to the pitcher got past, he aggressively took 3rd base to everyone's surprise.  Tyler Citek and Dorian Hicks led the effort on the mound as Citek threw the majority of innings followed by Hicks' closing the game.  Mills Kelly added three hits and three stolen bases.  Freshman John Cialone displayed uncompromising leadership behind the plate as he caught seven innings and set a school record of 18 blocks.
