Lower School In-House Substitute (starting August 2026)

St. John’s is seeking a full-time, in-house substitute teacher in the Lower School (K-5). In addition to relevant experience and a strong educational background, successful candidates must demonstrate a passion for working with elementary-age students and a commitment to developing the whole child and furthering the School’s mission, including its strategic initiatives on community and inclusion.

Primary Responsibilities:
● Work with the Lower School administrative team to ensure coverage of classes
● Actively support teachers and students on campus daily from 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM
● Serve as the primary substitute for K-5 classes
● Assist teachers with class instruction and/or recess, lunch, and carpool duties

Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree
● Teaching experience preferred
