Mavs defeat Westside Wolves
Finding themselves in a game that would determine second place in pool play, the Mavericks faced 5A power Westside in the night cap at the FBCA Classic.
With the score tied going in to the top of the sixth inning, the Mavs would bust out for 8 runs with two outs to score nine runs total. Meredith Lloyd showed great bat strength pushing across two runs on a double off the wall in the left field.
Westside would touch the Mavs for 6 runs as well in the bottom of the frame. However, Tanvi Varadhachary put any hopes for the Wolves to bed for the night on a 4-3 play to end the game.
