To introduce students to Class Two’s Passion Project, we will be taking a field trip to the Houston Livestock Show on Wednesday, March 4th. If you previously signed up to volunteer as a chaperone, please watch for an email with details from Julie Ballew. Students should wear jeans, a red uniform shirt or a red SJS t-shirt, and sneakers (with socks). They must also bring a lunch from home. They will eat lunch on campus when they return. They may also want to bring a hearty snack to eat in the morning since their lunch will be later than they are used to.
This session is designed to help parents support boys in navigating social pressures while cultivating resilience, integrity, and leadership.
Session Overview:
Part 1 - Didactic Presentation: Dr. Thomson Ivins, founder of the Ivins Group will provide research-based strategies and practical tools to guide boys in making values-driven choices in a complex social landscape.
Part 2 - Panel Discussion: Hear directly from SJS boy leaders as they share experiences navigating social pressures and discuss how they apply character-building skills in real life.
