You’re invited to Engaging Distinctive Universities, a collaborative, virtual event hosted by Emory University, Rice University, the University of Michigan and the University of Washington. While each school is unique, we are united in our commitment to help students make informed decisions about which college is the best fit for them.
Students should report to Sumners Hall at St. John the Divine dressed in their robes by 4:00 p.m. Seating will open at 4:00 p.m. (there will be no access to the sanctuary before 4:00 p.m.)
Ceremony will begin at 4:30 p.m.
The ceremony will end by 5:30 p.m. with the Senior Class picture and reception following in The Quad. In the event of rain, the reception will be held in Flores Hall.
Due to seating limitations at the Church of St. John the Divine, we ask that only the parents and siblings of graduates attend Baccalaureate.
Students should report to the Science Building hallway dressed in their robes and caps at 6:30 p.m.
The ceremony begins at 7:00 p.m. with the formal bagpipe procession; all guests must be seated at this time. The ceremony will end by 8:30 p.m. with a reception following in Flores Hall. (Livestream of the ceremony will be available on monitors inside of Flores Hall.)
Admissions representatives from Brown, Columbia, UChicago, and Vanderbilt will hold a joint session for students about their respective universities and the highly selective college admissions process. Topics will include: academic programs, campus activities, student life, admissions policies and financial aid.

Reading Day is a time for students to review for exams with their teachers. Attendance is NOT required and there is no set schedule. Students may drop by to ask questions and review information with their teachers between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm.

Students must have the permission of the US Academic Dean, Dean Kuhl, to test on this date and should plan to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the exam start time. The makeup exams begin promptly at 8:00 am for all students who have been approved to test on this date. Students with extended time have 4.5 hours to complete their exams. All other students have 3 hours to complete their exams. Dress in layers, as rooms tend to run cold during this time of year. Lunch will not be served during exam days.

Meant as a brief introduction to the signature aspects of each institution, they'll also spend time sharing application advice, offering financial aid insights, and answering questions.
