Part-Time Middle School Community Service Coordinator (starting August 2026)

St. John's School seeks a part-time MS Community Service Coordinator to begin in August 2026. This position oversees the Community Service efforts of the Middle School students and faculty.
 
Strong candidates for this unique position have excellent communication and organizational skills, experience coordinating events and connecting with non-profit organizations in a community, and a demonstrated interest in helping students serve others. Candidates should also possess a particular passion for working with middle school students, have an earnest desire to work collaboratively with colleagues, and have earned a bachelor's or master's degree. In addition, the strongest candidates will have demonstrated experience in a middle school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute  grade-level community service projects for MS - including, but not limited to, grade-level days of service and the Candlelighters’ Fall Festival
  • Coordinate additional age-appropriate volunteer programs throughout the year 
  • Coordinate the annual Special Olympics event
  • Collaborate with the MS Parent Guild Community Service committee chairs
  • Establish and execute other projects to support the community service program
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.  
  • Minimum 3 years of prior experience teaching or working with middle school students preferred.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with students, colleagues, parents, and members of a community
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
