  • Social-Emotional Learning

    During May, our Sharing Circle topics will focus on self and social awareness and relationship skills. Three of our topic threads focus on learning to work through small and big emotions, boundaries, and consent, and reviewing our Lower School theme.

    • Recognizing and drawing two-dimensional and three-dimensional shapes based on attributes such as a given number of angles, sides or faces
    • Introducing the standard algorithm as a way to solve addition and subtraction problems

    • Expanding our knowledge of persuasive writing
    • Revisiting and applying basic grammar rules to written works
  • Social Studies

    • Exploring basic economic principles 
    • Explaining how supply and demand affect the price of goods or services

    • Experiencing a free choice of tools and software we used this year to expand our knowledge of their applications 
    • Continuing to practice touch typing skills through the use of Typing Club (This online program can be used during summer break.)
