Spring HJPC Champs- Golf, Tennis, Lacrosse

Maverick Middle School added four more HJPC titles to the 2016-2017 school year.  Girls' Golf, Boys' Tennis and both Girls' and Boys' Lacrosse teams won their HJPC conference championships.
Middle School Boys' Tennis, Girls's Golf and Boys' Lacrosse all went undefeated in league play. Girls' Lacrosse won two one-goal games to capture their title.

Congratulations to the Middle School Boys Tennis team for winning the 2017 team HJPC title.  The Mavericks were undefeated in league play winning all but one of their matches 5-0.  In the HJPC individual tournament William Sanders '21 finished runner-up in No. 1 singles. George Caldwell '21 and William Mathis '21 were champions in No. 1 doubles defeating Luke Westmark '21 and Matthew Johnston '23 in the finals.

Boys' Lacrosse cruised through the regular season and HJPC playoffs finishing off an undefeated league schedule with an 11-3 win over St. Francis in the final. Girls' Lacrosse was tested several times this season, losing to Kinkaid on April 4 by a score of 11-7.  They saved their best for the conference playoffs edging St. Francis 10-9 in the semi-finals and Kinkaid 7-6 in the 'ship. 

In the inaugural Maverick Middle School Golf season, the St. John's Girls competed all season long in dominant fashion.  The Mavericks won every tournament and match culminating with the HJPC championship win on Wednesday, April 12.
