Congratulations to the St. John's Varsity Wrestling team for winning the 2017 Texas Prep State Wrestling Championships held in McKinney, Texas. The Mavericks finished with 170 points. Bishop Lynch, the team that ousted the Mavericks at the state duals two weeks ago, finished runner-up with 146 points.  22 teams were in the mix including 10 SPC squads that will be heading to St. John's on February 11th for the 2017 SPC Championships.  With the Maverick Middle School Wrestling winning the 2017 MS state title, St. John's made Texas wrestling history as the only high school program and MS program from the same school to win in the same year.
